Family Search Internet Indexing

I am so exicted that our stake has been invited to participate in the big Internet Indexing being done in SLC of all the microfilms that are in the Family History Library. You ask: "What is Internet Indexing?" This is the process where volunteers will be extracting or pulling information from various documents, i.e. wills, census records, etc. It will be a little while before we have it up and running, but I am happy that we are able to participate. I really enjoy extraction work and look forward to this new adventure. If you are interested in helping with record extraction work, you should check the follow links:

It is amazing when you look at some of these old documents and get a glimpse of what someone's life was like. Some of the census records can provide you with information about your ancestor's careers, health, where they lived, etc.

I always hated history until I started working on Family History. Now I love to learn about the time period of when my ancestors were alive so that I can begin to understand their environment and lives. They sacrificed a great deal and we are the beneficiaries of their diligence and hard work. I will always be grateful for them.
