Immigrant Ancestors Project - Volunteer or Search Records

Today is another day to share information about family history. I currently assist with extraction at the Immigrant Ancestors Project that is sponsored at Brigham Young University or BYU for short. This project's purpose is to extract emigrant records from the emigrant home countries. The areas that they are currently extracting records include Germany, France, Spain, Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), Ireland, Portugal and Italy. The records are being put into a searchable data base on the website as well. If you are at a brick wall trying to find an ancestor, take a look at this site and search their data base.

If you are interested in volunteering to extract, they are always looking for volunteers in all areas. (Please note, I am just a volunteer and am not connected to this program except through the volunteering aspect.)
