FamilySearch Research Outlines
One of the greatest tools that one can access when beginning a new area of research is one of the FamilySearch Research Outlines located at FamilySearch. Many of the Research Outlines are in PDF format and others are not, but all are viewable online. They offer great research strategies, common word lists for the particular country you are researching and many other useful information. They are listed alphabetically and sorted by place, title, subject, or document type. Click here to go directly to the Research Guidance section of FamilySearch. The outlines are available for all of the states in the United States and for numerous countries as well. If you have hit the notorious "brick wall" that we all hit at one time or another in our genealogical research, consider checking out these helpful tools for further insight and guidance on your quest for your family's history.
