As a companion website to the World GEDCOM Index previously mentioned today, the World Bride Index site is another possible way to break through your brick wall and find that illusive female ancestor. In comparison to the World GEDCOM Index site, the World Bride Index site is organized alphabetically to be search by the surname of the Bride.The data that is available to be viewed is either in the standard GEDCOM format or the line item form of GEDCOM. If you try to download a GEDCOM that presents itself in the line by line format, please refer to Louis Kessler's comment under World GEDCOM Index on how to save the GEDCOM to your computer. If you are not familiar with Louis, he is the author of the new genealogical computer program "Behold". He is brilliant and explains how to fix the issue of the problem of downloading the GEDCOM at this site. Thanks again Louis for your help and advise.
